Question 1998 · Bus theory test
Having dropped off passengers, what should a driver check before moving off?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Both exterior mirrors.
Official explanation
Before moving off, check your offside (right side) exterior mirror for overtaking traffic and other road users and your nearside (left side) exterior mirror for intending passengers rushing to catch the bus. Check these mirrors as many times as necessary to ensure it is safe to move off.
