Question 314 · Car theory test
What should a driver do when travelling on a country road with following traffic and they meet pedestrians?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Signal their intention to overtake the pedestrians.
Official explanation
When you are driving on a road without footpaths, drivers should take extra care when they come upon pedestrians on the road. When they intend to move out and overtake, they should check the mirrors and signal to following traffic in good time to alert drivers behind that they are changing direction because of the hazard ahead.
