Question 3124 · Motorcycle theory test
What does the traction control system help to prevent?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Wheelspin when accelerating.
Official explanation
A traction control system on a motorcycle helps to prevent wheelspin when accelerating. This helps the driver to maximise the grip of the rear tyre when accelerating in slippery conditions, both when moving away and on bends and corners. Be aware, that many motorcycles may not have traction controls, therefore check the vehicle handbook for further information.
