Question 1243 · Truck theory test
What should a driver do when overtaking a vehicle which is displacing mud and spray?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Use the vehicle windscreen wipers and washer system.
Official explanation
In wet weather, vehicles tend to throw up spray and mud, and this can affect visibility for other road users. Before starting a journey make sure that the windscreen wipers are working and the washer reservoir is topped up. Then use these systems as necessary to clear the windscreen, especially when overtaking other vehicles.
