Question 1289 · Truck theory test
What should a driver do if they see a truck reversing into a side entrance on the left-hand side of the road ahead?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Stop and stay back safely and wait until the way is clear.
Official explanation
Always read the road ahead and be prepared to react to any traffic situation. You should be aware of the difficulties that drivers of large vehicles can have when reversing into a side entrance. In this case, a large vehicle reversing could obstruct your view of the road ahead as you approach, and you should afford the truck driver adequate space to manoeuvre.
