Vehicle primary controls are the controls required for the basic operation of the vehicle such as steering wheel, accelerator, clutch and brakes. The vehicle secondary controls - include windscreen washers, wipers, lights. Auxiliary features such as exhaust or retarder brake systems which assist in slowing down a vehicle are also regarded as secondary controls.
