To draw attention to a tow bar between a vehicle and trailer a warning device such as a white flag of at least thirty centimetres squared must be attached to the towbar where the distance between the vehicles exceed 1.5 metres. Please note: The maximum permitted distance between a drawing vehicle and a trailer is 4.5 metres.
