Question 1394 · Truck theory test
What does a load-sensing valve do?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Adjusts the brake pressure which is applied at the wheels.
Official explanation
A load-sensing valve regulates the pressure passing to the brakes, so that maximum pressure is available only when the vehicle is fully laden. As the load on the vehicle reduces, the valve automatically lowers the braking pressure.
