Question 1451 · Truck theory test
When driving in heavy rain, what should a driver do?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Lower speed to allow for reduced visibility and increased braking distance.
Official explanation
When driving in the rain, your visibility can be severely reduced both by the rain itself and by the spray thrown up by other road users. Stopping distances on wet roads are greater than on dry, and you should reduce speed accordingly.
