Question 1492 · Truck theory test
What should a driver of a long vehicle do when turning left into a narrow side road?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Move to the right on the approach to allow the turn to be made without touching the pavement.
Official explanation
If you are driving a long vehicle and wish to turn left into a narrow road, take as much room as you need on the approach to the junction to allow you to complete the turn successfully. This may mean that your vehicle will be to the right of its normal position on the road, and other road users, especially cyclists, may come up on the inside of your vehicle.
