Question 1729 · Truck theory test
What should be done with the airlines of an uncoupled tractor unit?

Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
They should be stowed away properly.
Official explanation
When uncoupling a tractor unit from a trailer, the air-lines should be stowed safely, using the hooks or other facilities provided for the purpose on the tractor unit. If you don’t do this, the lines can get damaged, for example by getting burned by the exhaust system or getting tangled up in the drive shaft.
