What is the maximum time a driver can drive between weekly rest periods?

Official explanation
There is a maximum weekly driving limit of 56 hours and you must take a weekly rest period after no more than six daily driving periods. You may drive up to 56 hours between weekly rest periods. Rules set under EU 561/2006.
