Question 1701 · Truck theory test
On three days of the week what can the minimum daily rest period be reduced to?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
9 hours.
Official explanation
EU regulations on driving hours were introduced to reduce the incidence of driver fatigue, which is a known risk factor in road collisions. These regulations specify that a driver must take an 11-hour rest period within each 24-hour period. This may be reduced to 9 hours on a maximum of three days in a two-week period.
