Question 1735 · Truck theory test
Why should the valve be replaced when having a tubeless tyre fitted?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
To ensure the tyre will remain inflated.
Official explanation
When fitting a new tubeless tyre to a vehicle, it is recommended to change the valve. This is because the old valve has been on the wheel since the old tyre was fitted. The old valve may break down, leak, or cause air to escape.
