Question 1742 · Truck theory test
When making a turn in an articulated car-transporter, what should a driver be aware of?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
The front overhang follows a wider line than the cab.
Official explanation
The driver of a car transporter should be aware of the extra height of the vehicle when it is loaded with the cars, the instability of the vehicle when only the top deck is loaded, and, on articulated car transporters, the fact that front overhang does not follow the line of the cab when turning.
