Question 3139 · Motorcycle theory test
What should motorcyclists do when riding in windy conditions?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Look ahead and anticipate crosswinds.
Official explanation
In strong winds, motorcyclists can become more vulnerable. They should slow down and try to anticipate where crosswinds are most likely to affect the motorcycle, such as when passing gaps in roadside hedges or between tall buildings, or on exposed roads and high bridges or flyovers. Be aware that the winds might also affect other road users, such as pedestrians, cyclists and high-sided vehicles.
