Question 1496 · Truck theory test
What may happen if the vehicle’s engine oil is not changed as required?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Parts of the engine may suffer increased wear.
Official explanation
Engine oil becomes inefficient over time, losing its viscosity and lubricating qualities, and therefore must be changed as required in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Failure to do so may result in costly and extensive engine damage. The oil change is usually done when the vehicle is being serviced.
