Question 1503 · Truck theory test
How does the driver know that a vehicle’s Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is faulty?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
A warning light will come on.
Official explanation
ABS activates automatically. It prevents the wheels from locking so that the driver can continue to steer the vehicle while braking. ABS is only a driver aid. It does not help the vehicle to stop more quickly. A constantly lit ABS light may indicate a fault with the braking system.
