Question 1657 · Truck theory test
What can a driver do to maximise fuel efficiency while driving?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Avoid carrying unnecessary weight.
Official explanation
The more extra weight in your vehicle, the more fuel you use. Using a roof rack or a roof box increases wind resistance, and this also increases fuel consumption – by as much as 15%. Remove roof racks and roof boxes when not in use.
