Rear under-run barriers are protection barriers attached to the rear of a truck, trailer or semi-trailer. They are designed to prevent small vehicles such as cars and light vans from going under the truck if it stops or decelerates suddenly, and thus help to avoid or reduce serious or fatal injury.
