Question 3036 · Motorcycle theory test
How should a motorcyclist apply the brakes to stop quickly in an emergency?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Use the front brake followed by the rear brake.
Official explanation
When braking in an emergency, you should close the throttle and apply the front brake just before the rear, and increase the brake pressure steadily. You should consider the road and weather conditions, and apply the right amount of braking to each wheel to achieve maximum effort without causing the wheels to lock up and skid.
