Question 3054 · Motorcycle theory test
What action should a motorcyclist take if the rear wheel skids under acceleration on wet surfaces?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Ease off the throttle.
Official explanation
Motorcyclists should take care when accelerating in wet conditions. Too much acceleration can cause the rear wheel to skid, with the risk that you will lose control of the motorcycle. If the rear wheel does start to skid, ease off the throttle to reduce the power going to the rear wheel until full control has been re-established.
