Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Drivers of emerging vehicles may not see the motorcyclist.
Official explanation
As a vulnerable road user a motorcyclist should pay particular attention when approaching side roads as the drivers of emerging vehicles may not have seen them. If in doubt, slow down and try to make eye contact with the driver. Motorcyclists should always ride defensively and be prepared to stop if necessary.
