Question 1533 · Truck theory test
What does a warning buzzer in the cab usually indicate?
Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Drop in brake air pressure in the braking system.
Official explanation
Vehicles fitted with air brakes are equipped with a buzzer to alert the driver to a loss of air pressure. You should not attempt to drive while this buzzer is sounding. If the buzzer comes on when you are driving, pull over in a safe place as soon as possible. If your vehicle loses all air pressure, the brakes may lock on, which may cause an obstruction or hazard to other traffic.
