Question 1249 · Truck theory test
What does this tachograph symbol mean?

Pick an answer to test yourself.
Correct answer
Other work - that is, work other than actual driving.
Official explanation
Tachographs (recording devices) are required to be fitted to trucks over 3.5 tonnes and to buses with more than 9 seats. They record the driver’s driving activity, rest periods, vehicle speed, distance travelled and other information. The driver should select the symbol that represents the activity they are engaged in – rest, driving or other work. The records must be retained for inspection by enforcement officers.
